The Guardians need to win or need the Astros to lose to secure a spot in the playoffs. This sounds crazy as they're leading the AL Central, but could legitimately miss the playoff in the last 3 games of the season. Slade Cecconi (7-6, 4.15 ERA) will try to secure their spot against Jack Leiter (9-10, 3.92 ERA) and the Rangers. Mets (82-77) at Marlins (77-82)

The Mets are in an interesting position. Right now they're in the playoffs, but both the Reds and the Diamondbacks hold tiebreakers over them which means they need to sweep this series with the Marlins to ensure that they make the playoffs.
