My Best Bet: Browns -2

The last time we saw Dallas, they were getting blown out of the water by Green Bay at home in a crushing 48-32 defeat in the playoffs. They finished the season with a 12-6 record that once again ended in disappointment, solidifying themselves as the regular season champions of the world. QB Dak Prescott is entering the final year of his contract, and the two sides are trying to work out a deal. The organization is probably unsure of what to do with the very little postseason success that Prescott has had, even though he has been able to bring the team there almost every season. So, that could be a distraction.

Despite losing QB Deshaun Watson to an injury last season, Cleveland managed to go 11-7 last year after they signed QB Joe Flacco from his couch, who out of nowhere brought them to the playoffs. Of course, they got ripped by the Houston Texans immediately 45-14 in the Wild-Card round, but nonetheless, they got there.

This game opened at a pick ‘em, and has bounced around a bit since. Dallas moved to -1 originally, then Cleveland took action to move to -1/1.5. They are now -2/2.5 in most markets. Cowboys games are almost always the highest-handle of the week, with tons of money coming in and line movement galore. Public money is hard to register, because it flies in both for and against Dallas. However, with the line moving only one way all summer, I believe the wiseguys are on the Browns here.

Under Kevin Stefanski, the Browns have gone 14-5 ATS in non-conference games, so keep that in mind, too.
